The high point is the Utrechtsebrug over the Amstel, 5 m above sea level at about 4.0 km, and the low point is in the drained polder of the Watergraafsmeer, -4 m at about 9.6 km. Everything else happens within a few metres. About a third of the course runs below sea level. Add up the energy cost of every gradient and the course comes out about level with a flat 21.1 km.

Cut-offs
The organiser's 2026 half-marathon page; 2027 details aren't out yet. The limit is three hours, and the finish in the stadium closes at 5:00pm.
Race-day mean temperature, 1995-2025. Lime marks the hottest edition; the coldest and wettest carry a label only, so the colour still means one thing.
At 1:20pm, in waves until about 1:55pm, on Stadionweg outside the Olympic Stadium. The marathon starts at 9:00am, so the half runs in the afternoon.

Very. The whole course sits between -4 m and 5 m, the high point being the bridge over the Amstel, and about a third of it is below sea level.
AHN 0.5 m lidar, sampled every 25 m, smoothed over 100 m.
Registration opens on 19 December 2026, first come, first served. The 2026 half sold out its 15,000 places within a week.

A big, flat one, with a stadium finish. The limit is three hours, and the cut-offs ask for about seven minutes a kilometre early on.
Organiser race information; measured profile.
12,778 finished the half in 2026, plus 2,288 in the business run that starts with it. 13,341 finished in 2025, and the most was 15,865 in 2023.
Organiser figures for the 2026 edition.
About 13.6 °C during a typical race: that's the median across 30 years, which have run from 9.4 °C to 20.2 °C. 0 of the 30 were wet.
ERA5 reanalysis for the race date, 1995-2025.
It comes from AHN dtm_05m — 0.5 m bare-earth lidar (PDOK, CC BY 4.0), sampled every 25 m along the course line and smoothed over 100 m. The raw-to-smoothed ratio here is 1.3. Around 1.3 means the model is reading the ground, not rooftops; above about 2.0 the total climb carries real noise, and the net change is the sturdier number.
